Cancellations & Refunds

Booking Cancellation Policy

According to your deposit confirmation, you have 72 hours from the date of deposit payment to review these booking terms. After this period, you will be deemed to have agreed to these terms, and your deposit will become non-refundable in accordance with these booking terms.

Please read the following booking terms:

• All prices and deposits are in Canadian dollars. If payment is made in a foreign currency, exchange rates will be considered. Prices are subject to change without notice.
• Your initial deposit is equivalent to 20% of the total cost of each trip you book (referred to as the "deposit") and is non-refundable.
• Full payment for all heli-skiing tours (hereinafter referred to as the "Final Payment") is required to be paid to the Banff office ninety (90) days prior to the start of the tour; if the Final Payment is not received ninety (90) days prior to the deadline, CMH reserves the right to release these seats and you will forfeit your deposit. Furthermore, all payments for all heli-skiing tours are considered deposits for the purposes of these Booking Terms and Conditions and are non-refundable.
• In the event of cancellations or changes by all guests, the following conditions will apply to our cancellation policy:
  • All cancellations must be notified by phone at 1-800-661-0252 (or 403-762-7100) or by email to [email address missing].sales@cmhheli.comPlease obtain written confirmation or contact your local representative.
  • If you can find a replacement guest (name change) for the same booking, you will be charged an administrative fee of CAD$250. Finding a valid replacement is the responsibility of the guest, not CMH. The cost of the replacement trip is the current price at the time of booking. For safety reasons, a valid replacement must meet the weight and skiing ability requirements of the trip they are participating in. Therefore, CMH reserves the right to refuse a replacement for these reasons. In such cases, the guest must find another replacement within the time limit specified by CMH, or the cancellation rules will apply. For cancellations made more than ninety (90) days before the trip start date, the canceling guest has 7 days to find a valid replacement. For cancellations made within ninety (90) days before the trip start date, the canceling guest has 72 hours to find a valid replacement.
  • If you receive a cancellation notice more than 90 days before the start of your trip and you are unable to find a replacement for your booked trip, your deposit will be deducted from your $250 deposit and can be used to rebook within the same heli-skiing season.
  • If you receive a cancellation notice within 90 (90) days but more than 42 (42) days before the start date of your trip, and you are unable to find a replacement for your booked trip, the full deposit amount minus CAD 250 can be used to rebook within the same heli-skiing season.
  • If you receive a cancellation notice within forty-two (42) days prior to the start date of your trip and are unable to find a replacement for your booked trip, all payments received by CMH (including deposits and final payments) are non-refundable. Deposits are non-transferable to any other ski season.
• Rebooking = A completely new booking that is unrelated to any existing booking.
• Heli-skiing season = December 1 to May 15 of the following year.
• If CMH cancels the trip due to unforeseen circumstances, guests will have the following options:
  • Based on availability, immediately transfer funds to the new booking.
  • If the above options are not applicable to the guest, the funds already paid will be refunded.
• Participation in any CMH heli-skiing trip is conditional upon you completing our "Disclaimer of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risk, Warning, Indemnification and Medical Treatment Consent Agreement" (hereinafter referred to as the "CMH Disclaimer Agreement") before the trip (and in any event no later than 30 days after the final payment). After this date, CMH reserves the right to release your seat, and you will forfeit your paid funds. If the first day of your trip is less than 30 days before your final payment date, you must complete the CMH Disclaimer Agreement within 72 hours of the final payment. After this date, CMH reserves the right to release your seat, and you will forfeit your paid funds.
• You are responsible for arriving at the CMH departure point at the required time; if you miss your scheduled CMH departure, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred. If you are entering Canada from outside the country, you are responsible for ensuring smooth entry through Canadian customs and immigration authorities. If you are refused entry into Canada, your payments will not be refunded.
• If an event occurs that is beyond CMH's reasonable control, including but not limited to force majeure, illness, government regulations or advice (including travel warnings), pandemics, terrorism or terrorist threats (confirmed by a government warning or advisory notice), disruption of transportation services or facilities (which would severely affect participant attendance), disaster, fire, earthquake, or extreme weather, rendering your trip commercially impractical, unenforceable, illegal, or completely unenforceable, CMH may cancel your trip and terminate your booking by written notice. In such cases, please refer to CMH's cancellation policy for more information on how we will handle your payments. CMH shall not be liable for any liquidation damages, cancellation fees, rental fees, service fees, or any direct, consequential, compensatory, incidental, or other damages or amounts of any other nature.

These booking terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia and applicable laws of Canada.

Flight Refund Policy

• In rare cases where we are unable to fly you during your daytime heli-skiing trip at CMH Purcell due to weather and/or mechanical failure (also known as you not skiing or riding at all), you will receive a full refund.
• If you are unable to meet the vertical guarantee due to operational factors such as inclement weather or mechanical failure, we will provide a refund. The refund amount is calculated in meters and is based on the difference between the vertical guarantee and the meters you skied during your trip.
• CMH will not provide a refund if you are unable to meet the vertical guarantee due to injury, illness, accident, skiing ability, or personal choice (such as choosing to stay at or return to the hotel instead of skiing).
• If you qualify, you can use the refund to pay for hotel expenses (i.e., bars, retail stores, massage parlors), any miscellaneous expenses for future trips with CMH (summer or winter), or as a credit card or check after the trip.
  • Your rebooking bonus plus the calculated meter refund must remain in your account and can be used together for new summer or winter bookings within two years.
  • If you use the refund to pay for miscellaneous expenses (bar, shop, or massage), or choose a credit card or cheque refund, you will lose the rebooking bonus.
  • Rebooking bonuses are non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire two years from the date of issuance.
